Deep dive into your ashtanga practice for a week, in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

DECEMBER 13-19, 2021: Ashtanga vinyasa, mysore style and led class
This will be a full week of traditional ashtanga vinyasa practice, with 6 mysore classes and at the end of the week a led full primary class (traditionally counted). During the mysore classes we will focus on all the details and nitty-gritty's of our asana technique and how to modify every asana to suit your specific body: adapting the asana with variations and modifications that works for your individual conditions.
To adapt the yoga practice to your body (and not the other way around) is hugely important to have a safe practice with lower risk of injury. It also gives us the tools to reach the benefits of the asana.
This training suits ALL levels of practitioners; although it's recommended you are somewhat familiar with ashtanga vinyasa. A good start would be to take one of our beginners courses before the retreat. You'll find info and dates here.
We start every morning with mysore class, which is followed by a yummy breakfast. Then you'll have lots of free time to explore beautiful Costa Rica. Chill on the beach, or go on an exciting excursion! Our friends at Casa Zen have a bunch of fun and exciting excursions they can help you arrange as well.

ACCOMMODATION
We'll be staying at beautiful Casa Zen Hostel & Yoga center, just a few steps from the beach with our shala up among the palm trees!
You will share your room with one or two of your fellow yogis.
